Is water ice gluten free?

Yes. What’s not gluten-free: Motown Mash, Philly Pretzels.

Is water ice dairy free? Is it vegan?

With the exception of the following flavors, all water ice is dairy free and vegan:
Motown Mint and the Chips
Pumpkin (seasonal)

Dairy is found in our soft serve, Motown Mash, and D-ice pudding (seasonal). Dairy is also found in the following Brown Bag Popcorn flavors: Cheese Louise!, The MMMMMIX!, Mr. Mitch’s Nutty Munch, and Pretzel Salty Caramel.

Does water ice contain eggs?

No egg product is used in water ice or in our soft serve.

Is water ice kosher?

Yes! Detroit Water Ice is certified kosher by Kosher Michigan.

Is brown bag popcorn gluten free?

Four of our popcorn flavors are gluten-free: Butter Me Up, Caramelicious!, Cheese Louise! and MMMMMIX! What’s not gluten-free: Mr. Mitch’s Nutty Munch and Pretzel Salty Caramel.

Is Detroit Water Ice Factory a nut-free premises?

No, we are not a nut-free premises. Two of our water ice flavors contain nuts: Mr. Mitch’s Chocolate Peanut Butter, and our Banana Peanut Butter Chip. Our D-Icers love coming up with new “flavors” of the week and they may contain nuts.

All of our popcorn flavors contain nuts, either through coconut oil, or nuts in the serving.

What’s in the Philly Pretzels?

Our authentic pretzels are shipped directly from the heart of Philly.

Ingredients: Flour: Enriched Bleached Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin (Folic Acid), Water, and less than 2% of the following: Corn Flour, L-Cysteine Hydrochloride, Monocalcium Phosphate, Potassium Bromate, Whey (from Milk), Yeast, Flexicrust, Mold Inhibitor

Allergy information: They do not share equipment or facilities with any products containing peanuts where they are made. They do not contain any milk or dairy products.
